![]() After an Indian friend of mine, taught me to pick up food with my hands I felt that there was a need to design utensils that give a closer distance between the mouth, the hand, and the food - resulting in a more intimate eating experience. ![]() The Intimate Utensils offer a different experience of eating. It attempts to bridge the gap between eating with the standard western utensils that are all about efficiency, elegance, and leverage; but eating with the hands is more about sensuality where you can feel the texture and the weight of the food. The main difference between eating with hands and eating with utensils is the distance from the food. The Intimate Utensils bring the user closer to the food, but still has a familiar appearance to a westerner. The Intimate Utensils are also about supporting a healthier lifestyle where they are smaller and a bit aggressive; it is meant to make people be more careful while eating and take more care when eating.
