  • Our Beginning Mastercam Course is a project based study of CNC Programming using Mastercam.

    Subscribers begin by downloading the Mastercam Home Learning Edition of the software, and then watching the video tutorials and completing the Assignments.

    The course covers:

    • Configuring Mastercam
    • Creating 3D Geometry
    • Dimensioning
    • Applying Toolpaths; Contour, Pocketing, Drilling and tapping
    • Backplot, Verification and stl Compare

  • Our 3D Mastercam course covers CNC Machine Programming using both legacy and the new 3D High speed toolpaths to apply cuts directly to solid or surface geometry using simultaneous 3D axis movement to produce organic shapes.

  • Our Multiaxis Mastercam course covers CNC Machine Programming using automatic rotational devices to machine components on multiple sides.

    Students must have completed the beginning course or be able to demonstrate proficiency in Mastercam to take this course.

    The course covers:

    • Rotary 4th axis indexing on the vertical machine
    • Axis substitution which is simultaneous linear and rotational axis movement
    • Programming for the horizontal machining center with 4th axis rotation
    • Tooling and fixture design for mounting components in tombstone or pedestal conditions
    • 5 axis indexing and the dovetail work holding method
    • Programming an impeller using simultaneous 5 axis rotation
    • CNC lathe programming including live tooling
    • Machine simulation of the machining environment including the part, the machine tool and work holding fixtures
